5 Star RatedA big help to the busy woman-While I'm not a mom, I found a lot of value in this easy-to-read book by Debi Silber, "The Mojo Coach". Silber covers a lot in the book --- so she can't go into a lot of depth on any one topic. But it gives the busy woman the message she needs, the idea and the motivation, that gets her going so she can improve her life and be a happier, more successful person.

I’m an “older” mom (my baby was my fortieth birthday present!) and I also own my own business. I had gained way too much weight during my pregnancy, but I convinced myself that I didn’t have time to exercise because I had to get to my desk and get to work-that is, until I read The Lifestyle Fitness Program: A Six Part Plan So Every Mom Can Look, Feel and Live Her Best. Debi totally rekindled my desire to get back to work on me. In a very gentle, kind and humorous way, Debi helped me to remember to take care of myself. She also has some really sound advice on problems that we face with our bodies that doctors don’t always tell you about. If you’re a mom and you want to look and feel better, start by reading Debi’s book. It will get you up and moving and on your way to a better you!

This book is an excellent guide book that is all about health and wellness every mom deserves. It is divided into several sections, each one addressing a different issue of the health and fitness program the author offers to women. The nutritional fitness program is exceptionally interesting as it includes issues every mom should know about, such as the popular diet topic, the food guide pyramid, portions and plate sizes and so on. Debi also mentions the issue of emotional eating and offers solutions that are easy to accomplish. Another important topic is the stress factor. This section is a must for all moms who care for their family and tend to neglect themselves. The physical fitness program comes next with useful tips and advice, and then the emotional, relationship and spiritual programs, all very interesting to read and practice.

The book is written in a simple and clear style,
and readers can easily follow the advice offered by the author in each section. There are weekly goals to accomplish in every single chapter, thus making it easier to stick to the plan and have results. It caters to every mom who thinks her lifestyle is a mess and needs some change. Even if the reader does not change much in their lifestyle this guide book will benefit them as it offers a positive outlook in a woman’s lifestyle. It is encouraging and worth reading. Tired, listless, need to lose a few pounds and gain a new perspective? Then the book The Lifestyle Fitness Program: A Six Part Plan So Every Mom Can Look, Feel and Live Her Best http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=fabulouslyfor-20&l=as2&o=1&a=1600374271by Debi Silber may be exactly what you’re looking for.

Known as “The Mojo Coach”, Silber has divided her book into a six part plan so “every mom can look, feel and live her best”. It’s basically a how-to book on rejuvenating your over-packed life into something that is healthier and more fun.

Silber’s credentials are impressive: a registered dietitian, certified personal trainer, whole health coach, writer, speaker, lifestyle expert specializes in moms-of which she is one. This mojo coach has her own brood of 4 human kids and 4 furry ones. She’s been working with unfit, overweight and overwhelmed moms for nearly 20 years.

What did I like about what I read? For one I loved the idea of breaking the sections down into manageable subjects. Next, each subject was broken down further into even smaller compartments with questions to ponder and exercises to work on for the week.

I loved that Silber gave and encouraged us to decide what our goals and needs were-not telling us to do what worked for her. After all, everyone has different agendas and areas that we wish and think we should work on. We aren’t made out of molds, so I was very happy that this author made it clear that her way of seeing us change was that she wanted to make sure that these changes were good for us. The support website with forums and free tele-seminars are something different and useful. Especially if you determined and feel the need to “talk” to others.

Would I recommend the mojo coach and her book? If you are used to being self-determined and having internet buddies to help you follow through this journey of change-then yes. As with any self help, “how to” program-how much you succeed does depend, first and foremost, on how much you want to change.

5 Star RatedFinally, great advice for changing your life, June 12, 2008

Debi Silber puts together an advice book on many areas of your life. What I liked the most about this book is that she doesn't ask you to radically do anything, but make decisive changes in slow steps so you really can change your life. I like she doesn't ask you to radically change everything overnight, she knows you are busy, but you want to get your life back under control.

She writes about your life in many different fascets, we are not one sided, and neither is her approach. She gives a great deal of advice on nutrition, relationships, emotions, spirituality, stress control, and yes, fitness. Her advice is basically to take baby steps to make progress, for example trying to cut back on eating? Decide how much you will drink at a party before you leave, alternate your drinks with water, cut your drinks with spritzer. Order an appetizer instead of an entree.

So often advice books ask you to make radical changes that are difficult to stick with. I think that Debi Silber has really grasped that small changes made over time add up to lasting change. I think being a mom, having children, relationships with others, are taxing enough. Putting yourself through radical change is only going to heap more stress upon you. Stick with this book and the advice given, and you will see those changes that you desire.

In this new and exciting resource from Debi Silber, a Registered Dietitian, Certified Personal Trainer, and Whole Health Coach, learn more about establishing and maintaining a realistic lifestyle fitness plan for the mother and woman you are. As being a mother is one of the most challenging yet rewarding job a woman will have, in today's world it is so easy to lose track of yourself within the family balance. Therefore, in this book, Ms. Silber, otherwise known as The Mojo Coach, shares her extensive experience and knowledge with helping mothers find their perfect balance. As she so intuitively asks, why do our children get to sit down to a meal, wear nice clothes to make them feel good, have the opportunity to exercise, among many other questions, we must think about our reasoning. She raises these important questions and so many more which exhausted and stressed mothers must begin to ask themselves.

I enjoyed the logical presentation of important areas in this resource. Written from a refreshingly direct and factual point of view, I found the easy to read chapters with weekly goals listed to be just the right length. I particularly enjoyed Ms. Silber's way of using a holistic approach of universal health including sections on nutritional fitness, stress control, physical fitness, emotional fitness, relationship fitness, and spiritual fitness. In addition, I found the list of additional suggested reading materials to be extremely helpful. In conclusion, I found this to be an excellent resource which I can recommend for not only mothers out there, but also anyone looking for a change of life. With enjoying this book so much, I look forward to reading the next resource from author Debi Silber.
